A program dedicated to the initiatives and projects of the Decade of Science and Technology will be presented at the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which takes place on June 3-6. SPIEF 2026 participants will be able to learn about the new books of the Library of the Decade of Science and Technology, join the discussion on creating conditions for breakthrough research, see the concepts of the new "scientific" collection of the Putin Team Russia brand and get acquainted with science-related travel accessories from the Routemark brand. The business program of the XXIX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum includes sessions on science and new technologies. One of them is "Contribution to the Eternal: How Capital creates Scientific Heritage" will begin on June 4 at 3 p.m. in Conference Hall H23 of Pavilion H of the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Center. Representatives of charitable foundations such as the Melnichenko Foundation, the Sistema Charitable Foundation and the Talent and Success Educational Foundation will tell you why businesses create charitable scientific foundations, what tasks they face, what formats and models of support have proven effective, and how to combine the efforts of the state and private foundations to achieve national goals in science. The session will be moderated by Denis Sekirinsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The program of the Decade of Science and Technology at the stand of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science will be opened on June 3 at 3 p.m. by a panel discussion "Accessible data as a public good: institutional conditions for breakthrough research and high-tech entrepreneurship in the era of artificial intelligence." Experts — representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences, PJSC Norilsk Nickel, PJSC Rostelecom, Moscow State University, Yandex Cloud, Colab and other organizations — will discuss the changing scientific and technological landscape of Russia and the world in the era of AI. The speakers will tell you whether corporations can finance work with scientific data and benefit from it, where the line between data as a public good and data as a commercial asset lies, and which sectors of the Russian economy will benefit most from the systematization of accumulated scientific data over a five-year horizon.

On June 4, at 14:00, a presentation of new books will take place within the framework of the Library of the Decade of Science and Technology project. The series will be supplemented with books by outstanding scientists and popularizers of science: P.L. Kapitsa, A.E. Fersman, Ya.I. Perelman and M.M. Koltun. This time, the Sistema Charitable Foundation, Alfa-Bank, SIBUR and PhosAgro PJSC became partners of the reprints of classic Russian popular science literature. A master class from the NASHA LAB service will also be organized.
