A payment terminal with artificial intelligence was presented at SPIEF

At SPIEF 2026, Sber presented the world's first payment terminal with integrated artificial intelligence of its own design. The device integrates AI, biometrics, local computing, and digital services. By the end of the year, Sber plans to install several thousand devices.

According to Kirill Tsarev, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank, the technology adapts itself to the customer, combines biometrics, artificial intelligence and digital services and makes payment almost invisible. "For businesses, this is not only a convenient way to accept payments, but also a new tool for sales growth and customer experience quality. We are confident that such solutions will become the new standard of the payment infrastructure in the coming years," he stressed.

The new terminal supports all modern payment methods: bank cards, smartphones, QR codes and biometrics, Sberbank said. Through the terminal, you can make payment in installments (BNPL), leave a tip, see the balance of the "Thank You" bonuses and use them when buying.

The screen automatically adjusts the angle of inclination for a specific customer. The lidar camera recognizes in any light — the system recognizes a face thanks to a ToF camera with 3D face mapping, wide viewing angle, adaptive illumination and AI recognition algorithms. The terminal is equipped with an 8-core processor with an NPU chip, which ensures smooth and fast operation of the interface and the device itself. The NEO's screen resolution is 60% higher than that of the previous generation.
