ROSSETI and MIPT have agreed on a long-term scientific and technical partnership
PJSC ROSSETI and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) have signed a cooperation agreement for the implementation of advanced scientific and technical solutions, during research and development work, as well as in the framework of the creation and development of testing facilities, experimental and laboratory centers. The agreement was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum by Andrey Ryumin, CEO of Rosseti, and Dmitry Livanov, Rector of MIPT.
In addition, ROSSETI and MIPT plan to cooperate in the field of training and advanced training of engineering personnel.
As Andrey Ryumin noted, cooperation with MIPT "will open up additional opportunities for the introduction of advanced solutions in the Russian electric grid complex and the training of specialists who will develop the energy sector." Among the priority areas of cooperation are "energy storage systems, direct current, robotics, digital modeling and artificial intelligence," he added.
According to Dmitry Livanov, thanks to the cooperation provided for in the agreement, MIPT will be able to "strategically enter the electric power industry market together with the largest technological customer." "We combine fundamental science and the real sector of the economy to create competitive Russian solutions and a fully sovereign technology package," said the rector of MIPT.
He added that, together with the Rosseti Group, MIPT is creating a specialized advanced energy center on the basis of the institute, where students and scientists will work on applied tasks — with access to prototypes, patenting and subsequent integration into the grid complex.
