Russia will build the largest transport facilities using innovative technologies

Russia's largest transport infrastructure projects are planned to be provided with innovative materials and construction technologies. The corresponding strategic partnership agreement was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on June 4 by Alexander Dyukov, Chairman of the Gazprom Neft Management Board, and Alexey Krapivin, CEO of the National Project Construction Group.

As part of the cooperation, the company will increase the supply of modern bitumen for maintenance of highways, bridges, tunnels and runways at airports. It will also provide its own technology for building road foundations from reinforced soils. This innovative solution reduces the capital cost of maintaining transport facilities by up to 25% and can be applied in all climatic zones of the country.

"The development of high-speed transport in Russia requires efficient and unique technologies that increase the reliability, safety and comfort of travelers. Gazprom Neft's scientific, engineering and production capabilities make it possible to implement complex infrastructure projects with high operational requirements," said Alexander Dyukov.

According to him, today every third kilometer of the M-11 Neva and M-12 Vostok motorways has already been built using the company's products. In addition, the solutions are used in the maintenance of aprons and runways at the largest Russian airports.

To implement the new tasks, engineers at the Bitumen Materials Research Center will develop special product formulations adapted to extremely high transport loads.

I am confident that in cooperation with Gazprom Neft we will be able to improve the durability and reliability of road surfaces and airfield infrastructure," said Alexey Krapivin.
