The commander of the Latvian army called Russia's advantages over NATO
Russia's military superiority over NATO lies in its ability to quickly and massively produce drones. This was announced on June 4 by the commander of the Latvian Armed Forces, General Kaspars Pudans, in an interview with the Financial Times (FT) newspaper.
"Russia has gained an advantage in conducting military operations using drones over NATO countries. <...> Moscow's advantage is <...>..> the ability to produce drones on a large scale and quickly adapt them to the conditions of combat operations," the newspaper quoted him as saying.
Pudance also noted that the alliance is facing difficulties in increasing defense spending, deploying new forces on the eastern flank, and developing an industrial base.
The Business Insider (BI) portal reported on April 10 that the Russian Air Force has become more modernized and experienced than it was before the start of the special military operation in Ukraine. It is noted that the conflict in Ukraine has given Russian pilots combat experience and lessons of modern combat.
On April 12, the NYT newspaper pointed to Russia's superiority over the United States in the production of advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). According to the publication, Washington saw China as its main military competitor, but during the Ukrainian conflict, Russia began using drones with advanced technologies, including the use of artificial intelligence, which alarmed American intelligence.
