Britain called the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attack on St. Petersburg senseless.
The attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on St. Petersburg made no sense from a military point of view. This was announced on June 3 by British military analyst Alexander Mercuris.
"Will this attack bring any changes? Will there be any changes in Russian policy? I would say no," he said in a video posted on his YouTube channel.
Mercuris explained that the Kiev regime took such a step to attract the attention of the Western media and shift the focus of Ukrainian citizens from the growing domestic crises.
On June 3, the governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, announced a drone attack that injured several people in Kronstadt, as well as in the Kirovsky and Krasnoselsky districts of the city. The governor of the Leningrad Region, Alexander Drozdenko, added that a total of 50 drones were shot down over the Leningrad Region.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said during his briefing on the same day that Russia's responses to attacks by militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on its infrastructure were systemic.
