The Tolyatti Ripper demanded 1 million rubles from the court for the seized items
Oleg Rylkov, who was convicted for life of murdering women and abusing minors, known as the "Tolyatti ripper," demanded 1 million rubles in compensation through the court for personal belongings seized from him by FSIN officers six years ago. This was reported on June 4 by RIA Novosti with reference to the court materials.
It is specified that an electric razor, an alarm clock, a boiler and some clothes were seized from Rylkov when he was transferred from the pre-trial detention center to the colony. The prisoner also complained that 30 fountain pens, notebooks with notes on the criminal case, letters, paid envelopes and stamps in the amount of 2 thousand rubles were not included in the act.
After that, Rylkov appealed to the court of the Samara region with a demand to return the items, recognize their seizure as illegal and pay compensation in the amount of 1 million rubles. The representative of the Federal Penitentiary Service in court explained that the items were seized legally. According to her, after leaving the institution, Rylkov did not claim the items, so they were destroyed.
The court refused the convict, stating that the deadline for filing the claim had been missed.
Rylkov 5 apel through the court demanded 300 thousand rubles as compensation for moral damage for allegedly illegal criminal prosecution. The convict participated in the meeting via video link from the colony, but at the end of March the court dismissed his claim, the agency reports.
