Rosobrnadzor named the number of exam takers in Russian in 2026

More than 650,000 Russian graduates will take the Unified State Exam in Russian this year, scheduled for June 4. This was reported on June 4 in Rosobrnadzor.

"This is the most massive exam, for which almost 669 thousand people are registered on the main day, including 651 thousand graduates of the current year," the department noted in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The Unified State Exam in Russian is one of the two compulsory subjects for obtaining a certificate of secondary general education. The minimum threshold for obtaining a document is 24 points, for a certificate with honors — at least 70 points. The exam results are also required for admission to any higher education institutions. The minimum threshold for establishing a passing score in universities is 36 points.

The duration of the Unified State Exam in Russian is 3.5 hours. The exam paper consists of two parts and includes 27 tasks. The exam will be held in all regions of Russia and abroad in educational institutions that implement Russian programs. 5,731 examination points (PES), about 213,000 employees and organizers are involved in the conduct, and 15.6 thousand public observers will monitor the course of the exam.

On June 3, Rosobrnadzor head Anzor Muzaev announced on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) that four schoolchildren had been removed from the certification on the first day of the unified state exam. As the head of Rosobrnadzor noted, during the exam, one participant was removed for using communication tools, and three more for using cheat sheets.
