A delegation from Germany arrived at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) to discuss the working conditions of about 1.5 thousand German companies in Russia. This was announced on June 4 by Markus Fronmaier, deputy head and foreign policy expert of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) faction in the Bundestag.

"We are here to see how our German companies are doing. We still have about 1.5 thousand German companies in Russia," Fronmaier said in an interview with TASS.

The deputy explained that the delegation had come to assess the current situation of German companies in Russia and to discuss ways to improve business conditions. Frohnmeier also mentioned that during the visit, the energy crisis that Germany is currently experiencing and possible solutions to ensure stability in this area will be discussed.

The German news agency Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA) announced on May 31 that entrepreneurs from Germany will participate in this year's SPIEF. It was noted that representatives of the Alternative for Germany (AFD) party would also attend the forum.
