The United States sees a threat of escalation of the conflict in Ukraine and believes that the current situation has reached an impasse. This was announced on June 3 by the American Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

"Now, I think [the conflict in Ukraine] is threatening escalation, because we are witnessing deep blows," the Secretary of State stressed. A recording of his speech was posted on the Associated Press agency's YouTube channel.

Rubio added that, according to the estimates of the American side, the situation in the war zone is currently at an impasse.
