The Russian armed forces have advanced in the Red Estuary of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), fighting continues in the city. This was announced on June 3 by the head of the republic Denis Pushilin at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

"We can say that there is some progress in the Red Estuary itself, but unfortunately, things are not going so fast there, urban battles are taking place," he said in an interview with TASS.

Pushilin stressed that an unfavorable situation is developing in the city for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

On May 16, Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, announced that units of the 25th Army continue to conduct active street battles in order to completely liberate Krasny Liman, and Russian forces currently control 85% of the city's territory. The head of the General Staff added that Armed Forces units are being destroyed in the territory of the Holy Mountains National Park.
