The infrastructure for accepting digital rubles is already fully ready, said Dmitry Dubynin, CEO of the National Payment Card System, in an exclusive interview with Izvestia. According to him, as soon as a decision is made to launch the digital ruble, this feature will be turned on immediately. He also noted that from September 1, a universal QR code will start working, through which it will be possible to accept digital rubles.

The universal QR code will work as a payment page with different payment methods. The tools familiar to the user will appear there: bank pay services, installment payment services, a fast payment system and a digital ruble. As Dmitry Dubynin explained, the main goal of launching such a solution is to make payment at the checkout more understandable and convenient for people.

According to him, the introduction of universal QR is going according to plan, but the NSPK has no information that any of the banks are going to ask for a delay. All participants who need to connect to the system are in varying degrees of readiness.
