The Russian women's national football team beat the Chinese team in a friendly match
On June 3, the Russian women's national football team beat the team of the People's Republic of China (PRC) 2-1 in a friendly match in Wuhan.
The Russian national team featured 29-year-old striker Natalia Mashina in the 54th minute and 19-year-old midfielder Azalia Zalmieva (86th). The only goal for the losers in the 60th minute was scored by 31-year-old Wang Shuang, who plays as an attacking midfielder.
The second friendly match between the Russian and Chinese national teams is scheduled for next Sunday, June 7. It is expected that this meeting will be held behind closed doors.
Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation and head of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), said on May 25 that Moscow and Beijing have extensive cooperation in the framework of sporting events, which in turn is based on a strategic comprehensive partnership. The head of the Russian Ministry of Sports recalled the existence of Russian-Chinese sports exchanges and interstate training camps.
