Russia and Tanzania have all the necessary opportunities to boost interstate trade, with trade between the two countries growing by 25% last year. This was stated on June 3 by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with the leader of the East African state Samia Suluhu Hassan.

"In the past, we have seen an increase in trade turnover of about 20-25%. This is a good indicator. Of course, we need to increase our trade turnover. We have all the possibilities for this," he said.

The Russian leader added that the parties need to continue working on this issue, in particular in the fields of transport, energy, education, healthcare, exploration and logistics.
