Analysts named the most popular used cars among Russians in the spring
In the spring of 2026, the demand for used cars in Russia increased by 14.5%. The average price of a used car was 1.3 million rubles. The brands with the most noticeable dynamics include Haval, Geely and Lexus, while the most popular models are the domestic Lada Priora and Granta. Avito Auto experts told Izvestia about this on June 4.
Haval recorded the largest increase in demand among brands, with a 54.6% increase over the year. Geely (+29.6%), Lexus (+29.2%), Hyundai (+28.6%) and Kia (+27.5%) also have strong dynamics. Among specific models, the Renault Duster (+60.4%), Nissan Qashqai (+51.1%), Nissan X-Trail (+49%), Volkswagen Tiguan (+45.2%) and Kia Sportage (+38.6%) showed the greatest growth in demand.
Lada remains the most popular brand in the structure of general interest, accounting for 23.2% of the audience's attention. This is followed by Toyota (7.2%), Hyundai (5.8%), Kia (5.6%) and Volkswagen (5%). Russians were most actively interested in Lada Priora and Granta, Hyundai Solaris, Lada 2114 Samara and Toyota Camry. The top 10 popular models also include Lada Kalina, Ford Focus, Kia Rio, Lada 4x4 (Niva) and Lada 2107.
In the first five months of 2026, demand increased by 10% compared to the same period last year, and by 17.8% in May. According to Andrey Kovalev, director of the Used Cars department at Avito, interest in crossovers and SUVs is growing the most: in spring, demand for SUVs turned out to be 27.5% higher than a year earlier, and the Haval F7 and Jolion, Renault Duster, Geely Coolray and Nissan Qashqai showed the greatest dynamics among specific models.
Among specific models for the year, Lada Kalina and Priora became more affordable — minus 9.8%, up to 280 thousand rubles and up to 333 thousand rubles, respectively. Chevrolet Lacetti also fell in price (-8.2%; up to 409 thousand rubles), Hyundai Accent (-7.4%; up to 360 thousand rubles) and Lada 2114 Samara (-7.3%; up to 197 thousand rubles).
The day before, it was reported that in the spring of this year, demand for new cars increased by 14.6% compared to the same period last year. The average cost of a new car was 3.5 million rubles, and the most popular models included Lada Granta, Tenet T7 and Haval Jolion.
