Documents have been signed aimed at further developing the components of the Collective Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). This was announced on June 3 by Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov.

"We have reviewed and signed documents aimed at further developing the components of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Forces, their joint training and comprehensive support, as well as practical cooperation between the defense departments," Belousov said.

The Minister added that a number of documents will be submitted for approval by the heads of state at the summit in November. He clarified that these documents were prepared at the initiative of Russia. They will include solutions to improve air defense units and collective aviation forces, as well as training military personnel.

On May 26, CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov announced that the organization plans to strengthen the combat potential of the collective forces through modern intelligence systems, electronic warfare, unmanned complexes and automation of command and control. At the same time, he stressed that the CSTO will continue to rely on preventive and political-diplomatic methods.
