- The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed to the desire of all EAEU countries to cooperate with Russia.
The leaders of all the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) are determined to cooperate with Russia. This was announced to journalists on June 3 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026).
"Leadership in these countries is aimed at strengthening cooperation between all EAEU countries, including Russia," TASS quoted Pankin as saying.
On May 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that interest in the EAEU is growing among all the partners of the association. This trend, as the Russian leader explained, is due to the fact that the members of the association, working openly within its framework, see positive results from this.
On May 29, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the creation of the EAEU had strengthened each of the member countries of the association. According to him, the main goals of the EAEU remain ensuring macroeconomic stability and improving the quality of life of citizens.
