The Federation Council (SF) of the Russian Federation at a plenary session approved a law allowing employees of the Central Bank of Russia, Sberbank, special postal service organizations and collectors to stop attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was confirmed on June 3 by documents on the website of the legislative support system.

"Preliminary review of the law by the responsible committee (commission) on 06/02/2026, consideration of the law by the Federation Council is mandatory; propose approval of the law," the text says.

It is assumed that if the initiative is adopted, the employees of the collection and the Bank of Russia will be able to independently make decisions about the potential elimination of threats to their protected facilities.

This innovation, as emphasized in the explanatory note to the draft, is due to the need to protect banking facilities during a special military operation, including those located on the territory of the new subjects of the Russian Federation. It was approved against the background of an increase in sabotage and terrorist acts using unmanned vehicles.
