Ford to recall nearly 420 thousand cars in the United States due to seat belt problems
Automaker Ford Motor has initiated a recall campaign for 419,967 vehicles in the United States due to problems with seat belts. This was reported on June 3 by the Reuters news agency, citing the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
"The recall affects some vehicles [models] Expedition and Lincoln Navigator 2018-2022," the material says.
It is specified that the seat belt tensioners on the driver's and front passenger seats may inadvertently lock the belt, preventing its further operation. The identified flaw may affect the fixation of passengers in the cabin and increase the risk of injury in a potential accident.
Ford dealers will provide free diagnostics of defective components and, if necessary, replace them, writes Reuters.
In August last year, Ford became the leader in the number of recall campaigns, overtaking FCA, Volkswagen, General Motors, Mercedes-Benz, Honda and Hyundai combined in anti-rating. In October 2025, it became known that NHTSA recalled almost 625,000 Ford vehicles due to problems with seat belts and rear-view camera displays.
