President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said on June 2 that Ukrainian air defense systems are not capable of intercepting a significant part of the missiles.

"The current supply level of our air defense system does not allow us to intercept a significant part of the missiles," the message on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

He stressed that all partners of Ukraine and European countries should continue to provide support by providing air defense systems with missiles, providing critical intelligence and other means.

Retired Colonel and military expert Anatoly Matviychuk reported on June 2 that Ukraine's air defense is going through a critical period: modern complexes have either been destroyed or are experiencing an acute shortage of missiles. According to the expert, today Ukraine is practically left without missile and air defense cover. The systems supplied by Western countries cannot cope with the tasks assigned to them, which makes the Ukrainian infrastructure and military facilities vulnerable to attacks.
