Drunk motorist killed an elderly woman in the Amur region
In the Magdagachinsky district of the Amur region, a pensioner was killed as a result of a hit-and-run by a drunk driver. This is reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.
The accident occurred on June 1 in the village of Tyga. According to the traffic police, the driver of a Nissan Terrano hit a woman born in 1955, who was crossing the roadway in an unintended place.
The pensioner received various injuries from the blow. The woman died on the spot before the arrival of an ambulance, IA AmurMedia writes.
In May, a court in the Lipetsk region sentenced a motorist who got drunk behind the wheel on New Year's Eve and caused an accident with the dead and injured. The driver never admitted his guilt.
