Monument "Alyosha" in Murmansk is being reconstructed
In Murmansk, the passage to the monument to the "Defenders of the Soviet Arctic", which is also called the Murmansk Alyosha, was closed. It will be impossible to get to him until October 2, 2028. This is due to its reconstruction.
According to Bi-Port news agency, the reconstruction project involves the creation of a museum, a concert venue and a recreation area. Specialists will conduct surveys, study the territory, and then decide what will be placed in the memorial complex.
On May 27, the ceremony of collecting a particle of the "Eternal Flame" took place. It was decided to move the flame to the Valley of Glory.
The contractor who will carry out the repair work was chosen through public procurement. The cost of the work is estimated at 916.6 million rubles.
Earlier, on June 1, it was reported that in Murmansk, deratization was carried out on the territory of several urban spaces and in apartment buildings. Rats have already been killed around Lake Semenovsky, in the park, on the alley and playground next to the monument "Waiting", as well as at the monument to the Twin Cities.
