The authorities of St. Petersburg will soften the laws for search dogs
In St. Petersburg, dogs that participate in the search for missing people will be exempt from legal restrictions. Their help in emergency situations is invaluable.
Denis Chetyolbok, a deputy of the city Legislative Assembly, spoke about possible changes in his Telegram channel.
He noted that this type of animal is trained under the guidance of professional dog handlers. However, search dogs do not have a special status, unlike service dogs. For this reason, they are not exempt from federal or regional legal restrictions.
After giving such animals a special status, they can be used in search operations without violating the law, said the deputy, whose words cites 78.ru .
Earlier it was reported that St. Petersburg may increase the total area of public green spaces by 80 hectares. The relevant bill was considered by the city legislative Assembly in the first reading. The explanatory note says that if the initiative is adopted, about 109 new protected green areas will be established in the Northern Capital. The level of provision of parks and squares for residents in 17 districts will increase significantly.
