The Philippine authorities have invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to attend the ASEAN summit in November. This was announced on June 2 by the Philippine Ambassador to Moscow, Igor Bailen.

"As far as I remember, his (official invitation addressed to Putin. — Ed.) was sent last year or at the beginning of this year," RIA Novosti quoted the diplomat as saying.
