- Armenia announced its intention to increase exports from the EU by the end of the year
Armenia intends to increase the volume of exports of its products to the EU countries by 4-5 times by the end of 2026. This was announced on Monday, June 1, by the Minister of Economy of the Republic Gevorg Papoyan.
"The Ministry of Economy has presented programs to support exports to the EU and the Middle East. In other words, this is compensation for transportation costs and customs duties. We will pursue a more aggressive policy. Exports to the European Union have doubled, but we are acting even more aggressively and intend to increase it four to five times by the end of the year," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
The minister specified that the basis for expanding trade relations will be the supply of vegetables, fruits and products of the manufacturing industry. In addition, Papoyan expressed hope that the difficulties that have arisen with the export of Armenian agricultural products to the Russian market will not be resolved.
