A fighter of the Russian Armed Forces destroyed a mortar and take-off points of an APU UAV

Second Lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Russia Alexander Khaidukov, as part of an artillery crew, destroyed an 82-mm mortar of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with calculation, as well as the take-off points of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was announced on June 2 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is clarified that having received the coordinates of the enemy from the calculation of the UAV, Khaidukov promptly assessed the situation and opened fire on targets. During the fire action, up to 10 Ukrainian Armed Forces militants were eliminated.

The ministry also noted the actions of junior Sergeant Sergei Kondrashev, whose unit was tasked with storming an enemy stronghold. It is noted that during the offensive, the platoon came under mortar fire. Kondrashev decided to suppress the enemy firing point and, having fired several distracting shots, created the conditions for a retaliatory attack. In addition, in direct contact with the enemy, he destroyed up to five Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters with grenades.

On May 31, the deputy platoon commander of the Marine Corps formation in the Vostok group of forces with the call sign Balthazar reported that a Ukrainian-speaking serviceman of the Russian Armed Forces was able to capture three soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after talking with them. He clarified that the negotiator was a native of the Leningrad region. The captured Ukrainian soldiers were part of a machine-gun assault group.
