Russia and China have confirmed the inadmissibility of the use of "suffocating" economic sanctions, forceful pressure and other measures that pose threats to the security of the DPRK. This was announced on June 1 on the website of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

"The parties stated their common positions on the inadmissibility of suffocating economic sanctions, forceful pressure and other ways of creating threats to the security of the DPRK," the publication says.

In addition, the Russian and Chinese sides highly appreciated the cooperation of the States, which is carried out in order to advance the settlement process and ensure peace in the subregion.

On May 30, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Choi Song-hee, speaking at the unveiling ceremony at the Russian Embassy of a memorial plaque to former head of the diplomatic mission Alexander Matsegora, said that Moscow and Pyongyang, being allies, have a common opinion on all strategic issues.
