The surgeon talked about the habits that lead to stroke
The worst habit that causes strokes is the habit of not monitoring blood pressure, said Alexander Umnov, senior lecturer at the Department of Surgery at the Medical Faculty of the State University of Education, on June 1.
According to the doctor, many people are used to not measuring blood pressure or knocking it down with a pill and not paying further attention to the disease. However, if blood pressure is systematically elevated, you should consult a doctor who will prescribe a system of medications for the morning and evening, explained Umnov.
The specialist also warned that the systematic consumption of any sweet products in large quantities damages blood vessels from the inside. The situation is aggravated if a person leads a sedentary lifestyle, which slows down blood circulation, disrupts metabolism, and increases the risk of diabetes, obesity, and high blood pressure, Umnov emphasized.
The surgeon added that smoking spasms blood vessels and forms plaques — the smoker gets a whole bunch of problems from vascular spasms to hormonal failure. The same can be said about alcohol, because regular alcohol consumption is always a violation of the heart rhythm, dehydration, pressure drops, he noted.
"The habit of stress, dealing with scandals, conflict and reacting to all stimuli abruptly, with screaming, crying and internal shock is a direct blow to the blood vessels, such people are more likely to suffer from insomnia, which also provokes a violation of the heart rhythm, pressure, undermines the normal functioning of the body," warned Umnov.
Denis Makhonin, a doctor of rehabilitation medicine, said on May 31 that recovery from a stroke can begin as early as 12 hours after the patient's condition has stabilized, RT reports.
In turn, cardiologist Andrey Kondrakhin said on May 26 that sex is a serious physical activity for the body. Increased activity leads to an increase in blood pressure, which increases the risk of stroke, reports 360.ru .
Denis Prokofiev, a cardiologist with the status of "Moscow doctor", warned in an interview with Izvestia on May 17 that deviation from the level of normal blood pressure increases the risks of hypertensive crises, heart attacks, strokes and damage to target organs (heart, kidneys, blood vessels, eyes and brain).
Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexandra Konradi warned on April 22 that non-compliance with the medication regimen for hypertension increases the risk of heart attack and stroke by about 1.5-2 times, NSN reports.
