Yandex will launch two XPeng models in Russia
Yandex Electro has issued a certificate of conformity for components for after-sales service of Xpeng G9 and Xpeng G6 electric vehicles. This was announced on June 1 by "Chinese Cars" in its Telegram channel.
The list of certified components includes drive shafts, suspension elements, brake discs and pads, sensors, anti-theft systems, wiring harnesses, thermostats, cooling system elements, wheels and tires, as well as body parts.
This indicates that Yandex Electro continues to prepare for the potential launch of Xpeng models on the Russian market, according to Chinese Cars.
The G6 and G9 are electric crossovers available on the Chinese market with a single— or twin-engine powerplant and a range of up to 570 km. Declarations of conformity have already been issued on them, which are needed for further certification, which is being conducted in Belarus. The OTTS will operate on the territory of all EAEU countries.
On April 24, Xpeng unveiled the GX full-size crossover at the Beijing Auto Show, which will become the flagship in the brand's lineup. From the outside, the Xpeng novelty resembles a British Range Rover SUV. The models share similar body proportions, a straight waistline, narrow elongated head optics and a "floating roof".
