The IAEA experts have begun an inspection of the site of the Ukrainian drone strike at the Zaporizhia NPP. This was announced on May 31 by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to International Organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov.

"IAEA experts inspect the damage caused by a Ukrainian drone to unit 6 of the nuclear power plant on May 30," Ulyanov wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

On the same day, Ukrainian militants launched a new attack on the territory of the Zaporizhia NPP. It is specified that the enemy strike hit the transport workshop of the NPP.

A new rotation of IAEA experts is also planned.

The day before, Ukrainian militants launched a targeted attack on the hall of the NPP power unit No. 6. The situation was promptly reported to the staff of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). On May 31, the Ministry of Defense reported that the damage caused by the attack of Ukrainian drones was located only 10 m from the reactor compartment.
