There are no casualties or critical damage as a result of the AFU drone strike on the nuclear power plant.

During the attack of the Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), there were no casualties and critical damage. This was announced on May 30 by the ZAES press service.

It is specified that the Ukrainian drone hit the wall of the engine room of power unit No. 6 of the Zaporizhia NPP.

"Fortunately, there were no casualties or critical damage," the Maks messenger said.

The station explained that these actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are irresponsible, pose a threat to security and can lead to unpredictable consequences.

Now all the systems of the power unit are operating normally, technological processes have not been disrupted. The radiation background at the NPP site and in the observation area does not exceed the established standards, specialists continue to inspect the accident site.

The head of the Rosatom State Corporation, Alexei Likhachev, announced on the same day that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had attacked the hall of power unit No. 6 at the NPP. He stressed that attacks from the Ukrainian side are becoming more and more dangerous and people far beyond the borders of Russia and Ukraine can suffer from them.
