Those who desecrated the memorial complex in Reutov, Moscow region, were placed under house arrest. This was reported on May 30 in the press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

"The court has chosen a preventive measure for a 36-year-old man and a 35—year-old woman accused of desecrating a memorial and a complex that perpetuated the memory of those who died defending the Fatherland," the agency wrote in the Maks messenger.

According to the publication, the investigators studied the video from the crime scene, and also conducted interrogations of the attackers. It is noted that the collection and consolidation of evidence continues.

A criminal case was opened against the couple the day before. According to the investigation, on the night of May 28, several people were intoxicated at the Eternal Flame of the memorial complex "To the Reutovites who died for the Fatherland." The attackers lit cigarettes from the flame at least twice, which desecrated the memorial site.
