First-graders will not be given grades for their behavior
Grades for behavior will not be given in the first grade. The relevant order of the Ministry of Education has been published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
"Monitoring compliance with internal regulations by students <...> may be accompanied by the assessment of students' behavior in accordance with the procedure established by local regulations of the organization, on the following scale: "exemplary", "acceptable" and "unacceptable". The provisions of this paragraph do not apply to first grade students," the document says.
It clarifies that in case of violation of discipline, the teacher immediately indicates the need to comply with the rules, and in case of repeated violations, he may involve the head of the school or another authorized person to take measures, including temporary removal from the classroom and conducting a preventive conversation.
Earlier that day, the Ministry of Education reported that from September 1, 2027, it is planned to introduce an updated educational standard for grades 10-11 in Russian schools. According to the draft document, high school students will have the right to study all subjects only at a basic level, without mandatory deepening. At the same time, for those who want to master individual disciplines in more detail, the possibility of specialized training will remain.
