The "Scarlet Sails — 2025" holiday received the Silver Mercury Award
On May 29, the concert part of the alumni celebration "Scarlet Sails — 2025" received a silver award from one of Russia's key creative awards, the Silver Mercury, in the nomination "Best Mass Event".
The legendary prom was revived in 2005 on the initiative of ROSSIYA Joint Stock Bank, the Government of St. Petersburg and Channel Five. Channel Five has been the organizer of the water pyrotechnic show for several years in a row. Since 2005, he has been continuously providing a live television broadcast of the holiday. The staging of the concert part on the Palace Square in 2025 was handled by the ERA event agency.
"In 2025, the main theme of the holiday was victories and the qualities that are necessary to achieve them. The concert blocks revealed these values — unity, courage, wisdom... All the elements of the performances — choreography, graphics on the screens, technological solutions, including fountains with water theater artists and a huge mechanical firebird - were inspired by the history of the country, the exploits of the people, the victories of goodness in fairy tales and epics," said Natalia Zvorygina, general producer of the concert part.
The Silver Mercury Prize jury highly appreciated the quality of the event's organization, audience reach, effective interaction with it, and the constant growth of brand awareness.
In 2025, the legendary prom was watched by a record 45.7 million people worldwide. This is 8.7 million more than a year earlier. The television coverage of the fantastic water and pyrotechnic show in the Neva River and the concert of the most popular Russian pop stars on Palace Square amounted to about 31.7 million people, including the international orbit. The number of views of the online broadcast on the Internet is 13.7 million. Another 300,000 people watched the holiday live on large street screens in major cities.
This year, the legendary graduation ceremony will be held on June 27.
The Silver Mercury International Advertising and Marketing Communications Festival has been held since 1999. Its mission is to celebrate and reward projects that not only impress with creativity, but also resonate with a wide audience and influence the formation of culture and society. The victory in the Silver Mercury Award is a confirmation of the high level of competence of the contestants.
In anticipation of the "Scarlet Sails" in 2026, the launch of the Russia in the Baltic project was planned in St. Petersburg. On June 25, celebrations of cruising sailing yachts on a non-stop cruise to Kaliningrad will take place on the Lieutenant Schmidt Embankment. A horn from the icebreaker Krasin will give the start of the transition. The sailboats will act as symbolic ambassadors of St. Petersburg, the cradle of the Russian sailing fleet.
In 2025, the graduation celebration was held on the night of June 29. The holiday was revived after a long-term hiatus in 2005 on the initiative of ROSSIYA Joint Stock Bank, the government of St. Petersburg and Channel Five.
