Kozlov, the former editor-in-chief of Sovetsky Sport, has died at the age of 79.
Alexander Kozlov, the former editor-in-chief of the newspaper Sovetsky Sport, died at the age of 80. This was reported on the publication's website on May 29.
According to the newspaper, the funeral will be held on Monday, June 1.
Kozlov was born in 1947. He graduated from the All-Union Law Correspondence Institute and the Journalism Faculty of the Higher Party School. During his career, the journalist worked as a deputy editor of the department in the newspaper "Socialist Industry". Since 1993, he became the editor-in-chief of the Sports department of the Express-Gazeta weekly, and from August 2001 to December 2003, he was the editor-in-chief of Sovetsky Sport.
