Japan will send four members of the Self-Defense Forces to the headquarters of the NATO Structure for Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU), located in Germany. This was announced on May 29 on the website of the Ministry of Defense of the country.

"This mission will help strengthen Japan's own defense capabilities by learning the lessons learned in Ukraine," the defense ministry said in a statement.

The ministry added that sending personnel will help deepen cooperation between Japan and NATO in the context of the inseparability of the security of the Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific regions. The agency intends to further develop cooperation with the alliance in the field of defense, adds "Газета.Ru ".

On May 6, Muneo Suzuki, a member of the upper house of the Japanese parliament, said that Tokyo had no plans to supply military products to Kiev. The parliamentarian clarified that in the future the situation with the supply of military products to Ukraine will not change and he "will not allow this."
