Trump announced his intention to make a final decision on the Iran deal
On May 29, US President Donald Trump said that today, at a meeting with his aides, he would make a final decision on whether to approve the agreed deal with Iran.
"Now we will gather in the situation center to make a final decision. Thank you for your attention to this issue," he wrote on the Truth Social network.
According to him, Iran must confirm that it will never have nuclear weapons or bombs, and the Strait of Hormuz should be open to free navigation without duties in both directions.
The American leader also stressed that some parts of the points of the deal with the Islamic Republic have already been agreed.
The Axios portal learned the day before that the Iranian and American sides allegedly reached an agreement on a Memorandum of Understanding. It was noted that the potential document is now awaiting final approval from the head of the White House.
On May 27, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of the Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy of the Majlis of the Islamic Republic, described the content of the future Iranian-American project.
