Matvienko called for reducing the down payment on mortgages for large families in the Russian Federation

In Russia, it is necessary to reduce the down payment on mortgages for large families. This was announced on May 29 by Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko at a meeting of the Presidential Council for the Implementation of State Demographic and Family Policy.

"We consider it necessary to provide special conditions for family mortgages for large families. This includes an increase in the limits of preferential mortgage loans, and a reduction in the size of the initial payment," she said.

Matvienko also noted the need to improve the conditions for providing payments in the amount of 450 thousand rubles, effective for repayment of mortgage debt at the birth of a third child.
