The desire to bring the suburban area to the ideal turns a vacation into a second job with deadlines. Elena Shpagina, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Institute of Management Technologies of RTU MIREA, expressed this opinion on Friday, May 29.

"The excellent student syndrome is particularly acute. This leads to emotional burnout exactly where we are looking for rest," Shpagina explained in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

The psychologist recommended introducing the "three priorities" rule to avoid burnout. At the beginning of the week, you only need to select three critically important tasks, and transfer everything else to the category of an optional hobby — to do it if you have the mood, weather and energy. It is important to say it out loud in order to destroy the internal dictate, Shpagina stressed.

"The value of the cottage is not in the tons of harvested potatoes, but in the opportunity to switch attention, slow down and get sensory pleasure from contact with the soil, rather than from conquering it," the expert concluded.

Sergei Gavrilov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Property, Land and Property Relations, said on May 27 that fraudsters had recently begun sending fake notices of fines to owners of dachas and suburban areas.
