In the Amur region, a major subsurface user was accused of causing damage to aquatic biological resources. Commercial Port of Blagoveshchensk LLC was ordered to compensate for the damage caused to the Zeya River.

The Blagoveshchensk Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office conducted a check on compliance with the requirements of legislation on the protection of aquatic biological resources.

It was found that the company had a negative impact on the aquatic ecosystem when mining gravel and sand rocks in the Svobodnenskiy district. The company did not carry out mandatory compensation measures for the restoration of biological resources.

The court, where the supervisory authority applied, satisfied the claim. The company was obliged to fill the river. It should release more than 2 thousand Amur sturgeon juveniles and 559 carp juveniles into the Zea, PriamurMedia news agency writes.

Earlier it was reported that 70 thousand Siberian sturgeon fry, listed in the Red Book of the region, will be released into the Chara River in the Kalarsky District of the Trans-Baikal Territory. Now a large batch of fry is being prepared for transportation to the Kalarsky district. The process of growing to the required weight of 2 g takes place in a specialized fish hatchery in Chita.
