Ushakov called Putin's state visit to Kazakhstan very good
The state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Kazakhstan went very well. This was stated on May 29 by presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, answering a question from Izvestia.
"It's a good forum and a very good visit, in my opinion," Ushakov said.
The day before, Putin said that the Russian-Kazakh talks on May 28 were productive and efficient. The Russian President stressed that he had discussed topical international issues with the Kazakh leader.
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during a meeting in Astana the day before, pointed out the absence of controversial issues with Russia. Speaking about this, he described the special role of his Russian counterpart in the development of interstate relations. After the conversation, the leaders of the states adopted a joint statement on the seven foundations of friendship between the two peoples.
