Medialogia named the top 30 TV series based on the results of April 2026

On May 29, the analytical company Medialogia summed up the results of the Russian TV series rating for April 2026, presenting the top 30 most popular projects among Russians for the month.

The April leader was the series "Molodezhka", which scored 2,057 points and provided 6.8% of the April top 30. The Russian project topped the rating for the first time since January. The top five most popular also included the American TV series "Boys" with 2013 points, the Japanese anime "Magic Battle" with 1839 points, the Russian sitcom "Daddy's Daughters" with 1788 points and the domestic TV series "Univer" with 1682 points.

In the April top 30, Russian projects occupied two thirds of the rating, providing 66.7% of the overall index, experts emphasized. Foreign content accounted for 33.3%. The basis of the list was made up of TV series — their share reached 93.9%, while anime accounted for 6.1%.

Most of the positions in the ranking were taken by franchises and sequels that started before 2025. Their share was 73.3%. The premiers of the last two years have provided 26.7% of the list. Among the new projects of 2026, the rating includes the series "Prints", "Rooks", "Warm Wind from the North", "Shores of Love" and "Night".

The rating is based on 19 different indicators. The methodology takes into account the audience's search interest, views on television and online platforms, social media activity, and other parameters of viewers' interaction with the series.

On May 5, Medialogia presented the results of the Russian series rating for the first quarter of 2026. The absolute leader was the project "Very Strange Things", which scored 15,948 points. In second place is the series "Lilies of the Valley" (8829), and in third place is "The First Department" (7745). The fourth place was taken by the anime "Magic Battle" with 6419 points, and "Sled" rounded out the top five with 3563 points.

On May 25, the National Media Group (NMG) announced the launch of a new original series in the genre of short vertical content. Microdrama "The Twins. The struggle for the heir", as well as the previously released TV series "Pregnant by an oligarch", "Boss for one night" and "Goal right in the heart", will be exclusive to the Storys platform. The melodrama of 64 short episodes tells about the unusual fate of the sisters. Dasha finds a twin and persuades her to seduce a rich heir in order to free herself from the captivity of despotic guardians.
