Amur tigers from Russia rescheduled flight to Kazakhstan normally

The four Amur tigers brought from Russia are doing well, and all conditions have been created in Kazakhstan for their adaptation. This was announced on May 29 by Chairman of the Committee of Forestry and Wildlife of the Ministry of Ecology of Kazakhstan Daniyar Turgambayev.

"According to the preliminary examination of the veterinarians, the tigers feel well. They will be under surveillance now," he was quoted as saying by TASS.

Turgambayev noted that a reserve with an area of 415 thousand hectares has been created for tigers, "all material and technical equipment are present on it." He added that the staff will be replenished.

On May 28, Russia handed over to Kazakhstan four Amur tigers captured in the wild as part of a large-scale interstate program to restore the tiger population in Kazakhstan. The animals have already been delivered to Kazakhstan and are in a rehabilitation center.

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked Russian Leader Vladimir Putin for supporting the reintroduction of tigers in Kazakhstan and called the donated animals a valuable gift. Tokayev added that the people of Kazakhstan express their gratitude to the Russian side for the transfer of Amur tigers.
