Blogger Valeria Chekalina, known as Lercek, has completed her fifth course of chemotherapy for stomach cancer and declared herself feeling better. All the details are in the Izvestia article.

Valeria Chekalina reported that the fifth stage of treatment was successful. According to her, this time there are practically no side effects in the form of nausea. The blogger attached the results of medical examinations confirming the current dynamics of recovery.
"Congratulations: the fifth chemistry is over, I feel good, I didn't feel sick this time. I hope nausea won't catch up with me in the next few days," Valeria Chekalina shared.
Previously, the blogger's health condition was more severe, she had to use a wheelchair. As noted by Chekalina's fiance Luis Squicciarini, due to bone metastases, she experienced severe pain, but after a course of radiation therapy, their number decreased. This allowed the blogger to return to physical activity, including walking and swimming.
Accusations of simulation against Lercek
Not all users believed in Chekalina's sincerity. TV presenter Otar Kushanashvili, who is also undergoing treatment for cancer, suspected the blogger of faking the disease in order to attract attention. The journalist pointed out that Chekalina does not name specific doctors and clinics where she is undergoing therapy.
"Why is it that in this chronicle, which resembles a tour at the Vernadsky Circus, not a single Aesculapius is mentioned by first name and patronymic? There is not a single mention of how grateful they are to the nurses, not a single doctor's name, nothing. Because it's all a huge bubble," Otar Kushanashvili said.
The reason for the distrust was also footage from a Moscow fitness club, where they noticed Valeria Chekalina during the period prescribed for treatment. In addition, documents were discussed on social networks, according to which the blogger refused urgent hospitalization at the beginning of the year.
Chekalina's business development and finances
Despite his cancer, Lercek continues to engage in entrepreneurial activities. She introduced the new cosmetics brand Eyya Skin. In the advertising campaign, Chekalina starred without a wig, thus deciding to express support for women with a similar diagnosis.
At the same time, the blogger's family is solving financial difficulties. The court proceedings involving her were suspended for medical reasons, but her ex-husband Artem Chekalin sold a house in the village of Agalarov Estate for 176 million rubles. The funds from the court-sanctioned transaction will be used to pay off tax arrears.
