Rescue students to hold safety workshops for Moscow youth

Young people in Moscow are invited to attend events dedicated to safety, volunteerism and a healthy lifestyle, which will be held from May 30 to June 1 at VDNH in front of Pavilion No. 10. "Our main task is to create conditions in which every young person can realize their potential, receive support and find like—minded people. Thus, the initiative of the Moscow State Educational University volunteers becomes an accessible educational environment for the residents of the city," said Margarita Savinkina, head of the Moscow Youth project.

It is specified that a "Safety town" with interactive zones will be organized at the site, where participants will put on rescue equipment and practice working with emergency rescue tools, as well as learn how to operate in a confined space. Separate zones will be dedicated to ice rescue, first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as well as team tasks in the maze.

There is also a photo zone where you can try on a helmet and firefighter's equipment, pick up a hydraulic tool and take memorable photos. The instructors will explain the purpose of the equipment and tell you about its use.

It is separately noted that in May, the Moscow City Branch of the VKS held a "Rescue Relay Race" at the Nikulin Family Education Center, where participants demonstrated physical fitness and teamwork. In addition, the volunteers organized a collection of humanitarian aid for military personnel, and also held a "Fire and rescue crossfit for the MGO cup of the VKS" with elements of fire and rescue disciplines.
