Recently, there has been an increase in the number of Europeans wishing to obtain Russian citizenship. This was announced on May 29 by Alexey Egorov, First Deputy Head of the Migration Security Department of the Service for Citizenship and Registration of Foreign Citizens of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"Of course, it's growing. There are special programs, there are relevant presidential decrees that are being implemented," he told RIA Novosti on the sidelines of the International Security Forum.

Egorov noted that the decrees of the President of the Russian Federation on the support of people who share traditional Russian spiritual and moral values are also being implemented. Assistance is also provided to foreigners who are of interest to the country and want to move to Russia.

The Consul General of the Russian Federation in Salzburg Dmitry Cherkashin on may 18 said that the people of Austria and Germany are also interested in moving to Russia. The diplomat noted that among the repatriates there are also young families who do not share the values of Europe and want to raise their children in a different cultural and moral environment in Russia. Many migrants consider the Russian Federation as a reliable place for investment and business.
