A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Western grouping of troops has improved the tactical situation. Ukrainian formations in the Kharkiv region and the DPR were defeated. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 180 soldiers, a tank, two armored combat vehicles and 20 vehicles.

The soldiers of the southern group of forces improved their position along the front line and hit the enemy in the areas of the DPR settlements. The enemy lost up to 90 militants, four armored combat vehicles, including a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier, 13 vehicles and two field artillery guns.

Units of the Center group of forces improved their position along the front line, and also hit Ukrainian formations in the DPR. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 370 people, six vehicles and three field artillery guns.

The Vostok group of troops continued to move into the depth of the enemy's defenses. Ukrainian Armed Forces units were defeated in a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The enemy lost over 370 people, an armored combat vehicle, eight vehicles and an artillery piece.

Fighters of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of three mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in areas of populated areas of the Zaporizhia region. More than 50 Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters, 12 vehicles and two electronic warfare stations were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have damaged the storage and launch sites of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, energy facilities, transport and airfield infrastructure used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ammunition depots, fuel, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 147 districts.

Four guided aerial bombs and 184 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 152965 unmanned aerial vehicles, 661 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29527 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1727 multiple rocket launchers, 35115 field artillery guns and mortars, 62746 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
