The PDU deputies forcibly removed the mayor of Chisinau from the rostrum of the parliament

Deputies of the ruling pro-presidential Action and Solidarity Party (PDS) forcibly removed Chisinau Mayor Ion Ceban from the central rostrum of parliament, preventing him from speaking. This was reported on May 28 by the Moldovan portal Point.

"They attacked me when I wasn't even going to go to the podium. I was ready to respond to these attacks and tell them about the debauchery they are staging in the so—called reforms in local government and education, but they are afraid of people and the truth," Cheban said.

The mayor called the actions of representatives of the ruling majority a disgrace and pointed to the double standards of the authorities in matters of freedom of speech.
