The annulment of the decision of the Council of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) on the non-admission of the Russian national teams to the 2026/27 season does not mean an immediate return of the teams to the tournaments. This was reported on the website of the press service of the Russian Hockey Federation (RIHF).

"It should be noted that the cancellation does not mean the immediate return of the Russian national teams to the IIHF tournaments. The decision on the return of our teams will be made on the basis of the IIHF regulations," the message says.
