The Moscow City Court upheld the verdict of blogger Valeria Fedyakina (Bitmame) in the case of embezzlement of more than 2.2 billion rubles. This was reported on May 28 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

The arrest of Fedyakina's property was lifted to cover debts in the criminal case. The defense's request to reopen the judicial investigation into the newly discovered circumstances — in connection with the arrest of the victim, ex-Bitmama investor Gagik Gulakyan — was denied.

"I've never been a fraud. My actions have never been of this nature. My imprisonment is more like torture," said Fedyakina, making her final statement.

On May 27, the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow arrested Bitmama in a new criminal case. She is charged with illegal banking activities committed by an organized group and related to generating income on a particularly large scale.

Fedyakina was arrested in September 2023. According to investigators, she organized a financial pyramid scheme and transferred earnings abroad, bypassing currency controls and restrictions. Bitmama received cash, converted it into cryptocurrency, and sent it through crypto wallets to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In June 2025, the court sentenced the blogger to seven years in a penal colony, she was found guilty of embezzling more than 2.2 billion rubles from clients. Later it was established that the damage amounted to at least 3.8 billion rubles.
